Taste and aroma: It has a delicate and pleasant aroma and a typical gentle scent of fresh mushrooms. Gathering period: od mid-June until end of October. Where does it grow: grows in calcareous terrains though it can be also found in clay terrains. The tubers grow only a few centimeters deep in symbiosis with: Scots Pine, Downy Oak, Holm Oak, Oak, Black Hop-hornbeam, and Common Hazel.

Sveže tartufe priporočamo hraniti v hladilniku pri nizki temperaturi in jih porabiti čim prej po prejemu.
